SGE Information Corner
Become An OSHA Special Government Employee
The Special Government Employee (SGE) Program lets qualified industry professionals work directly alongside OSHA during VPP onsite evaluations. As an SGE, you serve as a federal volunteer, bringing real industry experience to the same evaluation teams that assess VPP-approved sites.
To participate, you must work at an approved VPP site and be sponsored by your company. After applying through OSHA and completing the required training, you take the federal oath of office and officially join evaluation teams as an SGE.
